As restaurants around the Badger State continue to dig out of the economic devastation delivered by COVID-19, TOMORROW, JUNE 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM CT, Opportunity Wisconsin will host a roundtable conversation with U.S. Representative Mark Pocan, Wisconsin State Representative Francesa Hong, and other Madison restaurant owners to discuss how the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF), established by the American Rescue Plan, is making major investments to help Wisconsin restaurants stay afloat.
As of 2019, there were over 284,000 restaurant and food service jobs, comprising 9 percent of employment, in the Badger State and over $10 billion in estimated sales. The RRF provides restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business. What’s more, recipients are not required to repay the funding.
