Voters across Wisconsin and the nation have spoken, and after all our votes have been counted and our next local, state, and national elected leaders sworn-in, it's time to put our representatives to work. November 7th at 1 PM, come out and join us at Copeland Park in La Crosse as we celebrate our hard-won victory and call for action after the election. That means not just the peaceful transition of power, but the demand that our elected officials go to work on the policies and progress voters turned out for this election season.
This event is co-hosted by Citizen Action of Wisconsin, Leaders Igniting Transformation, Opportunity Wisconsin and SEIU in coordination with events and organizers across the state and nation.
Keynote community speakers and organization leaders will be joining the program to focus on the future and the demands for progressive policy and change voters are making. Scheduled programming will begin at 1:00pm CST and wrap by 3 PM CST.
Signs, masks, and hand sanitizer will be available to everyone on site. Everyone attending will be asked to practice social distancing and to use a mask in order to keep everyone safe. We are committed to nonviolent, peaceful actions, and all joining participants will respectfully and lawfully at all times and to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
